Topic: Community Discussion: Water - We're all in this together!

The Methow Watershed Council invites you to join a community discussion about issues affecting water rights in the Methow Valley.  Subject matter discussed will include how the recent Hirst court decision may affect individual water rights locally, Ordinance 20, the current rate of county approvals, and zoning issues related to water rights.

Speakers are Greg Knott, Chair of the Methow Watershed Council, Attorney Natalie Kuehler of Ryan & Kuehler, and Okanogan County Commissioner Andy Hover.

Three dates and locations to choose from:

Lower Valley:  Sunday, Sept. 10, 1-3 p.m. at the Community Center in Methow

Middle Valley:  Wednesday, Sept. 13, 6-8 p.m. at the Grange in Twisp

Upper Valley:  Thursday, Sept. 14, 6-8 p.m. at the Community Center in Mazama

Thanks for asking! Just take the first left after the post office in Methow and drive back to the clearing. It is the brick building on the right.

Thank you for the great turnout and lively discussion at the meeting in Methow on Sunday afternoon.  We hope to see a good crowd and lots of great questions at the middle Valley meeting tomorrow evening (Wednesday) at the Twisp Grange!

Thanks to all who attended and participated in the discussion at the Twisp Grange last night. Tonight the upper valley (and anyone who couldn't make the prior meetings) is invited to our final discussion at the the Mazama Community Center,  6-8 pm.
